MSAW Files Police Complaint Over Dog & Cat Experiments Between 2019-2020
The Mauritius Society for Animal Welfare (MSAW) has filed a complaint with the Central -Criminal Investigation Division (CCID) to trigger an independent investigation into ‘concerning’ scientific experiments allegedly conducted on dogs and cats between 2019 and 2020.
The organisation made the announcement on Monday, September 29th, in a communiqué addressing the revelations.
The MSAW stated its commitment to transparency in seeking to “shed full light on the matter.”
The move follows the MSAW’s internal review of a 2022 report on the issue, which was the result of an internal inquiry launched by the management at the time.
The organisation is currently undertaking a critical evaluation of this 2022 report to verify its reliability.
