Asbestos Clean-Up Hits 3 Key Floors in Government Building

Hazardous asbestos is being removed from the Emmanuel Anquetil building in Port-Louis, according to the Prime Minister’s Office. The work, involving the removal of asbestos partitions, is being carried out on multiple floors of the administrative building.

The affected areas are on the fifth, seventh (in both wings), and tenth floors of the structure, located on Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Street.

Officials state that the operation is being conducted in full compliance with legal requirements.

Visitors to the building for administrative purposes are being asked to follow the safety instructions posted on-site.
