Mauritius Airport Invests Over Rs 5.5 Million in Modernising Baggage Trolleys

SSR International Airport is undertaking a significant upgrade of its baggage trolley fleet, with an investment exceeding 5.5 million rupees by Airport Terminal Operations Ltd (ATOL). The initiative aims to enhance the passenger experience ahead of the busy tourist season.

According to a statement released on Wednesday, 13th August, the company has already refurbished 500 trolleys and added 300 new ones to its fleet.

The organisation’s goal is to reach more than 2,400 trolleys by the end of the year, representing a 60% increase from the current number.

Lormus Bundhoo, CEO of ATOL, highlighted that the upgrade is designed to ensure a smoother and more comfortable service for passengers during the high season, reaffirming the airport’s commitment to improved passenger facilities.
