Mauritius has unveiled its strategic plan for digital transformation, titled “The Blueprint for Mauritius – A Bridge to the Future – Digital Transformation 2025–2029.” This 54-page document was launched on Monday, May 26, by President Dharam Gokhool and Dr. Avinash Ramtohul, Minister of Information Technology, Communication, and Innovation. The launch took place at the Sir Harilal Vaghjee Hall in Port Louis.

The plan outlines the country’s main goals for digital development from 2025 to 2029, aligning with the government’s broader program. It focuses on four key areas:

  • Developing advanced information infrastructure
  • Providing digital skills for all citizens
  • Encouraging innovation and private sector growth
  • Building a sustainable and resilient digital future

The main aim is to leverage technology to create a more inclusive, democratic, and sustainable society.

Mauritius intends to position itself as a leader in the digital economy through this strategic blueprint.
