Moroil, a renowned company specialised in the refining and marketing of edible oils, has revealed a remarkable financial performance for the six-month period ending 31 December 2024. The company achieved an impressive revenue of Rs 933.6 million, marking an increase of 11.9% compared to Rs 833.8 million during the same period last year.

This encouraging financial upswing was underscored by a net profit of Rs 38.3 million, up from Rs 37.6 million the previous year.

The increase in profits can be attributed to the implementation of cost-optimisation strategies and improvements in operational efficiency, showcasing Moroil’s commitment to enhancing its bottom line amidst a challenging economic landscape.

Moroil’s total assets stand at a robust Rs 1.3 billion, a testament to its strong market position.

However, the company’s leadership has prudently acknowledged the hurdles ahead.

In their statement, they noted, “During the last quarter of 2024, the Company experienced significant increases in operating costs, and for the forthcoming quarter, the Directors anticipate challenges concerning refined oil operations.”
