MRA Implements Equal Chance Allowance Payment Procedures
The Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) has established the payment procedures for the Equal Chance Allowance, a monthly support grant of Rs 2,000 designed for qualifying individuals.
This initiative aims to assist the most vulnerable households in the country and was announced by Finance Minister Renganaden Padayachy during the Budget 2024/2025 speech.
To be eligible for this allowance, families must meet specific criteria, particularly the requirement that their monthly income does not exceed Rs 20,000.
The payment will be distributed for the period from July 2024 to June 2025.
Individuals interested in applying for the Equal Chance Allowance are required to submit their applications online through the official MRA website at www.mra.mu.
