New SAJ Bridge Cuts Travel Time by 40 Minutes
The Sir Anerood Jugnauth (SAJ) bridge connecting Chebel to Sorèze is now open as of Monday morning, March 11.
Inaugurated by the Prime Minister yesterday, this 330-meter road will allow motorists to travel between these two regions in just two minutes, instead of the 40 minutes it took via the old route.
The maximum speed limit on the new bridge is set at 60 kilometers per hour.
This project, which required an investment of Rs 1.7 billion, aims to alleviate traffic congestion on our roads.
