In a surprising turn of events, the newly crowned Miss World, Krystyna Pyszkova, arrived in Mauritius on Monday, March 11th, just 48 hours after her victory.

Miss World 2024 was accompanied by our very own Miss Mauritius representative at the competition, Liza Gundowry, who made it to the top 12 of the contest.

Also present were several finalists and organizers of the Miss World pageant. Primerose Obeegadoo was among those welcoming the beauty queens.

During their visit, Krystyna Pyszkova and the other Miss World contestants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the festivities of Mauritius Independence Day celebrations, with the rhythmic beats of the sega dance.

The visit was a treat for both the pageant winners and the local population, as they got a chance to interact and share cultural experiences.
