French comedian Gérémy Crédeville publicly expressed his frustration with Air Mauritius for flight cancellations and delays during the peak travel season.

He referred to them as “complete rubbish” and “Airmomo…” on France Inter, with 1,864,000 listeners.

Despite being notified by email that his flight was canceled due to Cyclone Belal, he claims he was not given information on rescheduling and made unsuccessful attempts to contact them by phone and email.

He arrived at the airport with his family for a 10:25 pm flight that ended up departing around 2 am after a five and a half-hour wait.

This PR incident is harmful to the national airline’s reputation.
