District Council boss quizzed by anti-graft commission
The Chairman of Rivière-du-Rempart District Council, Mr Subiraj Ellayah and three councilors, were quizzed by officers of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) on Monday, January 10.
According to Defi Media, the Chairman and the three councilors are suspected to have approved a construction project on the beach, in the north of the country, while experts had rejected the promoter’s application.
Defi Media said several other councilors could also be quizzed soon.
