Price hikes looming (again), distributors warn
Major companies involved in the distribution of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), including Panagora Marketing Ltd and Innodis Ltd amongst others, have announced imminent increase in prices of imported products like canned foods and pulses.
The price hike will be around 10%.
The price of cooking oil as well as imported frozen vegetables will also go up by around 10% or more.
The major reason remains the rising costs of freight.
