Mauritius to be among the 10 most indebted countries in Africa, IMF says

The International Monetary Fund forecasts that Mauritius will be among the ten most indebted countries on the African continent by the end of 2021.

The island’s debt currently stands at 101% of GDP.

Other indebted countries are Sudan (209.9%), Eritrea (175.1%), Cap Verde (160%), Mozambique (133.6%), Angola (103.7%) and Zambia (101%).
