Kushal Lobine’s proximity with Government under spotlight
After MP Salim Abbas Mamode quit the PMSD (opposition) to join the MSM ruling party, all eyes are said to be now on another PMSD stalwart, Kushal Lobine.
News reports have it that Lobine was spotted at the Divali celebrations organized by the Mauritius Sanatan Dharma Temples Federation (MSDTF).
Lobine was reportedly the only opposition MP to attend the event, whose guest of honour was Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth – before the latter flew to Glasgow.
Lobine is said to have also been pictured, “all smiles”, with government MPs recently.
The MP of Constituency No.15 (La Caverne/Phoenix) had earlier refuted claims of any move to join the government, explaining that he is on “very good terms with the members of the government.”
