Butterfield has repatriated its Mauritius banking operations to Guernsey.
The decision reportedly comes after an in-depth review into the bank’s service and support structure following the integration of ABN Amro into its Channel Islands operations.
Butterfield in Mauritius provided operational and compliance support to Butterfield Trust offices worldwide and the Group’s Channel Islands banking businesses.
Butterfield (Mauritius) Limited was incorporated in 2017, with its registered office at La Chaussée Street, 11th Floor, Medine Mews, Port Louis.
