Tasleemah Joomun-Peerally, 43, Dies After Brave Health Battle

Director of Diagnos Clinique and a former journalist, Tasleemah Joomun-Peerally, has died at the age of 43 after a long battle with illness. She passed away in the early hours of this Tuesday, October 21.

Her brother, Irfaan Joomun, paid tribute, saying, “She was suffering, but she never gave up. She was always a fighter. She leaves a great void behind her.”

Funeral Arrangements and Family

Ms. Joomun-Peerally was the wife of Dr Saleem Peerally and is survived by her son and her grieving family.

Her funeral is scheduled to take place this Tuesday at 1:30 PM. The funeral cortege will depart from her brother Irfaan Joomun’s home in Caroline, Bel-Air-Rivière-Sèche, and proceed to the Trois Îlots cemetery (qabarastan).

Professional Career

A dedicated professional with a passion for communication, Tasleemah Joomun-Peerally had an extensive career in media and communication.

She was a former journalist at Radio Plus and the News on Sunday publication of the Défi Media Group. She also worked at the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation (MBC).

In addition to her role at Diagnos Clinique, she also ran the communication agency CommuniKaza.
