The Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) has suspended all operating licences for Bet 593 Ltd with immediate effect following allegations of money laundering.

The regulatory body issued a formal communiqué on Wednesday, 4 March, ordering the firm to halt its betting activities across both physical premises and online platforms.

Bet 593 Ltd is a known operator for local horse racing and international football betting.

Criminal Investigation

The suspension follows an internal investigation into suspected money laundering. The findings of this probe have been formally referred to the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) for further action.

In a significant escalation of the case, the Director of Bet 593 Ltd has been arrested. The FCC has leveled a provisional charge of money laundering against the director, citing violations of current financial legislation.

Key Restrictions

Under the terms of the immediate suspension, Bet 593 Ltd must:

  • Shut down online platforms and physical betting shops.
