New Year’s Day Tragedy: Woman Dead and 6 Injured in Quartier-Militaire Collision
A 62-year-old woman has been killed and six others left injured following a devastating two-car collision on New Year’s Day. The fatal crash occurred on the afternoon of 1 January on the Quartier-Militaire bypass. The victim, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved, was pronounced dead following the impact.
Emergency Response and Casualties
Beyond the single fatality, the collision resulted in six further casualties. Emergency services attended the scene and transported the injured to multiple medical facilities across the region, including:

- Flacq Hospital
- Victoria Hospital (Candos)
- A private clinic
