The renowned Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort is set to be rebranded as Constance Le Chaland in February 2026, following a new management agreement between Constance Hospitality and the Currimjee Group.

The transition, scheduled to take effect from 5 February 2026, marks a strategic partnership between IKO (Mauritius) Hotel Ltd—a subsidiary of the long-standing Currimjee Group—and Constance Hospitality, an independent Indian Ocean operator known for its sustainable luxury expertise.

A New Standard for Luxury

Under the new management, the resort aims to join the ranks of Constance’s flagship properties, such as Constance Belle Mare Plage and Constance Ephelia. The “True by Nature” signature will define the guest experience, focusing on:

  • Environmental Harmony: Maintaining the site’s identity as a natural sanctuary with a focus on coastal preservation.
  • Holistic Wellness: A dedicated Constance Spa featuring seven treatment rooms.
  • Expert Gastronomy: A strong emphasis on fine dining and the group’s signature Constance Cellar wine programme.

Facility Highlights

The property, located on the southeast coast of Mauritius, will offer extensive facilities designed to blend seamlessly into the landscape:

Strategic Evolution

For the Currimjee Group, the move leverages the operational “savoir-faire” of Constance Hospitality to elevate the site’s profile. For Constance, the addition of Le Chaland expands its footprint in Mauritius with a property that aligns with its values of authenticity and service excellence.

The groups have confirmed that the transition has been designed to ensure a “continuity of experience” for guests as the resort moves under its new Mauritian banner.
