Published

on

Motorists are facing six days of travel disruption as a section of the Albion Branch Road B105 has been closed to traffic starting today, Tuesday, 25 November.

Key Details and Traffic Measures

The temporary closure is required to allow for the reconstruction of a culvert near the Splendid View housing development. This was announced by the Ministry of Land Transport in a statement issued on Monday, 24 November.

Transinvest Construction Ltd is carrying out the essential maintenance work.

Diversion Plan in Effect

To mitigate the impact on road users, a full diversion plan has been implemented:

  • Traffic coming from Riviere Noire Road (A3) will be diverted onto Pierre Simone Street to access Albion Main Road (B78).
  • Drivers travelling from Albion village will need to use Albion Road (B78) to rejoin the A3 near the Indian Oil service station.

Safety Warning and Police Assistance

The Ministry of Land Transport confirmed that traffic signs have been installed and police assistance will be deployed to help manage the flow of traffic in the area.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution, particularly at night, due to the presence of workers and equipment on the road.
