NADC Director Categorically Denies Resignation Amid Confusion
Sam Lauthan remains in his post as director of the National Anti-Doping Committee (NADC) and has categorically denied reports claiming he has resigned.
The denial follows a “confusion” which arose on Thursday afternoon after a press article was published asserting that Mr. Lauthan had stepped down from his role.
Firm Denial and Media Criticism
Contacted for comment, Mr. Lauthan firmly stated: “I have not left of my own accord “.
Speaking in a “calm but firm” tone, he denounced what he termed a “misinterpretation” of his remarks by certain media outlets, adding: “The media is distorting my comments too much.”
Still ‘Fully Functional’
Mr. Lauthan confirmed he is “still in post” and “continuing to do my work”.
He stressed that no official letter of resignation has been submitted and insisted that he is still “fully functional” in his role.
He concluded that “Some people are trying to make incorrect interpretations”.
