2-Day State Visit in Mauritius: Macron Confirmed for November 20-21
French President Emmanuel Macron will arrive in Mauritius on November 20th and depart on the 21st for his official state visit, the French Embassy in Mauritius has clarified.
The two-day trip will see the French head of state arrive on Mauritian soil on the afternoon of November 20th and leave around noon on November 21st.
The embassy noted the dates were November 20 and 21, correcting previous press reports that had suggested November 21 and 22.
Rescheduled Trip Follows April Cancellation
The official visit was initially scheduled for last April but had to be cancelled. President Macron was required to attend the Pope’s funeral to represent France at the solemn ceremony, leading to the postponement of his trip.
