Weather Forecast: Strong Winds, 70 km/h Gusts, and Rain in Mauritius

Mauritius is currently under the influence of a strong anticyclone located south of the Mascarene Islands, bringing moderate easterly winds to the region. Winds will blow from the southeast at 20 to 30 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 70 km/h in some areas.
The weather service advises caution, especially during high-altitude activities or on roads exposed to crosswinds.
At sea, conditions will be rough beyond the reefs, with south-west swells reaching up to 3.5 meters. It is strongly recommended to avoid outings in the open sea and in lagoons on the West, South, and East coasts.
Forecast for the next 24 hours:
- The sky will be partly cloudy, becoming more overcast at times over the East, South, and mountainous regions, with occasional rain.
- Maximum temperatures will range from 23 to 25°C on the central plateau and 27 to 29°C along the coast.
- Minimum temperatures will be between 16 and 18°C on the plateau and 20 to 23°C on the coast.
