MK Flight Cancellation: 180 Mauritians Stuck at Kuala Lumpur Airport

A technical issue led to the cancellation of Air Mauritius flight MK 647 on Tuesday, June 11, leaving 180 passengers stranded at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia.

The flight, which was scheduled to depart for Mauritius, was unexpectedly grounded in the afternoon.

The affected passengers, who were awaiting departure, were left with no choice but to wait at the airport for several hours.

Air Mauritius’ Communications Manager, Atma Bumma, confirmed that the airline had detected technical problems with the aircraft.

“We are currently engaged in negotiations with the manufacturer to repair the aircraft and reprogram the flight,” he said.

In the meantime, the stranded passengers were accommodated in a nearby hotel, where they will await further updates on the status of their flight.

The exact duration of the delay is yet to be determined, although officials are working tirelessly to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

The cancellation of the flight has caused inconvenience to the passengers, who had been looking forward to their return journey to Mauritius.

The airline is working on minimizing the disruption and ensure that all passengers are safely re-routed to their destination.
