Activist Calls on ICAC to Investigate State Trading Corporation (STC)
Social activist Nishal Joyram has formally urged the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) to launch an investigation into the State Trading Corporation (STC).
He expressed concerns over potential discrepancies in the organisation’s accounts.
An educator by profession, Joyram, accompanied by his attorney, Me Sanjeev Teeluckdharry, handed over several documents to the investigators.
Responding to the move, Rajiv Seervansingh, the STC’s CEO said the organisation’s accounts undergo government auditors’ scrutiny and are also submitted to the National Assembly.
