Senior Mauritian lawyer Rex Stephen dies, days after turning 68
Senior lawyer Rex Stephen passed away on Tuesday 04 April, only a few days after he turned 68. Peers have described as a “brilliant and exceptional” man.
Rex Stephen is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Stephen, a journalist, and Sharon Audrey Sandra Sunglee, Principal State Counsel at the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
He was also a Lecturer in Law at the University of Mauritius and a Senior Partner of Astor Law Professionals.
