Another member of the Mauritian Militant Movement (MMM) has banged the door on the party.

Nitin Jeeha was an MMM candidate at the 2019 general elections in constituency number 11, Vieux-Grand-Port/Rose-Belle. He ended up in 9th position with 4,262 votes.

The dissident spoke of the “lack of support” from his party and “lack of consideration” for young people.

He denounced the growing presence of a “clique” within the party.

Similar denunciations came from other members of the party who resigned recently.

Reacting to the resignation, MMM Secretary Rajesh Bhagwan said he was disappointed. He had earlier blasted the MSM ruling party for using “money politics” to poach its members.

“He is a young man who could have become a role model, but those who believed in him are disappointed.”
