Police probe discovery of human foetus in Port Louis sewer

An investigation into the discovery of a foetus in a Port Louis sewer pipe is currently underway.

Media reports indicate that the discovery was made by employees of the Waste Water Management Authority while working on a clogged sewer pipe at Saint-Denis Street, Port-Louis.

The foetus was reportedly wrapped in a bag made of raffia.

Officers of Pope Hennessy Police Station have reportedly transported the foetus to the morgue of Dr Jeetoo Hospital.

There are no further details at this time.
