Dr Francois Tadebois is the new boss of Medical Council

Dr François Tadebois, director of the Bon Pasteur clinic, has been elected to head the Medical Council.

This is the first time that a doctor in private practice has been elected at the helm of this government regulatory body.

Dr Tadebois, a general practitioner since the 1980s, will replace Dr Shyam Purmessur, who passed away on October 31.
