New President Elected to Lead the Mauritius Law Society Governing Council
Me Dave Boolauky has been elected as the new President of the Mauritius Law Society, taking over the leadership of the country’s professional body for attorneys.
Me Boolauky succeeds Me Jaykar Gujadhur, Senior Attorney, following the society’s recent elections to determine its governing council.
A New Strategic Vision
Upon his election, Me Boolauky outlined a clear mandate for his term, focusing on the professional welfare of the society’s members.
He stated that his primary objectives are to promote the specific interests of attorneys and to deliver tangible improvements to their daily working environment.
The New Governing Council
The President will be supported by a newly elected executive team featuring several high-profile legal practitioners. The council members include:
- Vice-President: Me Renuka Brigemohane, CSK
- Secretary: Me Zubeida Salajee, Senior Attorney
- Assistant Secretary: Me Jeeshna Radhakissoon
- Treasurer: Me Zaheera Sassa-Nooraully
- Assistant Treasurer: Me Aïcha Monsoor
- Public Relations Officer: Me Girish Gokulsing
