National Assembly Schedule 19 June for Budget 2026/2027 Financial Year
Mauritius’s national budget for the 2026/2027 financial year will be presented to the National Assembly on Friday, 19 June 2026, it has been confirmed.
Parliamentary proceedings have been officially adjourned until 17:00 on that date, drawing a close to the legislative session on Tuesday, 2 June.
The announcement followed a suspension of parliamentary work that concluded the latest debates surrounding the Constitutional Review Commission Bill.
Before the adjournment, the draft legislation successfully cleared the Committee Stage of the parliamentary process.
The bill passed through the committee with several amendments, setting the stage for lawmakers to advance the proposed law to its Third Reading when parliament resumes.
