JCI Mauritius Launches 2026 CYE Search for 5 Top Innovative Young Entrepreneurs
Young business leaders across Mauritius and Rodrigues are being invited to step into the international spotlight as JCI Mauritius officially opens applications for the Creative Young Entrepreneur (CYE) 2026 programme.
Launched on 2 April, the competition—themed “Kot Vizion, Vin Realite”—targets innovators aged 18 to 40 who have either founded a new venture or revitalised an existing business.
The programme serves as a strategic launchpad, offering the ultimate winner a prestigious opportunity to represent Mauritius at the 2027 JCI Africa and Middle East Conference.
High Stakes and Global Prospects
The initiative, a collaboration between JCI Mauritius and JCI Quatre-Bornes, seeks to identify entrepreneurs capable of delivering innovative solutions through unique products or market approaches.
Beyond local recognition, participants stand to gain significant media exposure and access to a network of potential investors and partners.
For many, the primary draw is the chance to secure international visibility, which organisers say is crucial for opening new doors for collaboration and investment in an era of global economic challenges.
Eligibility and Rigorous Standards
Aspiring candidates have until 8 May 2026 to submit their applications, but the entry requirements remain stringent. To qualify, entrepreneurs must:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 40.
- Operate an officially registered business that has been active for at least three months.
- Provide a robust business plan backed by realistic financial data.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English, as all training and presentations will be conducted in the language.
Mentorship and Sustainable Growth
The CYE 2026 programme is designed to be more than a simple contest; it provides a framework for sustainable growth.
Participants will receive personalised support, including strategic advice and specialised training to help restructure and scale their operations.
In a climate increasingly defined by digital transformation, the programme encourages entrants to refine their business models.
By providing a space for strategic reflection, the JCI aims to ensure that the next generation of Mauritian business leaders is equipped to handle both local and global market shifts.
