Former Met Boss Files Complaint Against Ambassador
Former director of Vacoas meteorological station, Ram Dhurmea, has lodged a complaint against the Mauritian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Showkutally Soodhun, following his controversial remarks about Dhurmea.
Soodhun had made comments during an event, saying that in Dubai, “Dhurmea would have been hanged.”
Dhurmea was subsequently suspended from his position by the Ministry of Disaster Management, who claimed he had resigned.
Dhurmea denies resigning and has enlisted the help of lawyer Gavin Glover to challenge his suspension.
