Cruise Terminal Sets Expectation of 1.3 Million Tourists by 2023-2024
The newly inaugurated Port-Louis cruise terminal is expected to attract 1.3 million tourists by the 2023-2024 financial year.
Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth believes that the terminal’s success will boost the tourism industry and strengthen Port-Louis’ position as a regional cruise hub.
The terminal, representing a significant investment, has a capacity of 4,000 people and meets international standards.
Jugnauth also highlights the importance of developing domestic tourism and improving air and maritime connectivity.
The Mauritius Ports Authority will finalize its long-term port master plan in April 2024.
