Air Mauritius to resume flights to Chennai from April 2024
Air Mauritius has announced that it will resume flights to Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu in India, starting from 12 April 2024. The route will operate every Friday on an Airbus A330.
Flight MK 746 will depart from Mauritius at 6:30pm (local time) and arrive in Chennai at 1:50am the next day (local time).
Flight MK 747 will depart from Chennai at 3:35am (local time) and arrive in Mauritius at 7:50am (local time).
Chennai is known for its historical and cultural significance, religious landmarks, and its role as a gateway to southern India.
Currently ranking as the third most visited city in India after Delhi and Mumbai, it is also a world-renowned centre for healthcare.
In addition to the resumption of flights to Chennai, Air Mauritius will continue to operate six weekly flights to Mumbai, and two weekly flights to Delhi. From 20 November 2023, a third weekly frequency will be added to the Delhi route, increasing available seating capacity on this popular route.
