Fuel Price: Nishal Joyram to File Complaint Against STC

Activist Nishal Joyram has announced his intention to file a complaint to the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) against the State Trading Corporation (STC) regarding recent fuel price hikes.

After the recent increase in diesel and petrol prices, with petrol reaching Rs 72.10 and diesel Rs 60, Joyram said there is a potential mismanagement of funds at STC.

He denounced the lack of transparency in explaining the disparity between reference prices and actual purchase prices.

The action comes after Joyram risked his life during a hunger strike in 2022 to protest against STC and the government’s reluctance to lower fuel prices.
