5 Foreign Bitcoin Conference Attendees Expelled from Mauritius Airport
Five foreign participants intending to attend the Africa Bitcoin Conference currently underway in Mauritius were blocked and subsequently expelled from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, the conference’s Executive Director has revealed.
Conference Director Denounces Treatment
Farida Nabouream, the Executive Director of the international conference, virulently denounced the actions of the airport authorities during her opening address.
The individuals expelled were four nationals from Benin and one from Nigeria.
Nabouream highlighted that participants arriving from other regions of the world had not been subjected to similar treatment at the airport.
