It remains unclear whether he will be held in hospital or transferred to a police cell.

Upcoming Court Appearance

The former administrator is due to appear in court this Thursday, November 20, for his provisional charge.

His lawyer, Me Raouf Gulbul, confirmed that he was currently unaware if his client would be detained in hospital or a police cell.

Background on Allegations

Abdoula was subjected to a lengthy interrogation by the FCC earlier on Wednesday, with his lawyer, Me Raouf Gulbul, present.

The charges stem from his tenure as an administrator for the troubled airline Air Mauritius during the Covid-19 pandemic, a role he held from April 2020 to September 2021.
