Mobilis Auto Launches New Luxury Car Brand ‘Jetour’ With ‘Drive Beyond’ Vision
Mobilis Auto has officially unveiled Jetour, a new automotive brand promising “affordable luxury, performance, and service,” at a launch event held at the Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre in Pailles, Mauritius. The move is set to “redefine” the local automotive market, according to company leadership.
Key Brand Models and Features Unveiled
Mobilis Auto introduced its new brand, along with four key Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) models, highlighting a focus on innovation, audacious design, and modern technology.
- The X70 Plus: Pitched as a premium family vehicle, it is noted for its generous interior space, advanced safety equipment, and modern colour options.
- The Dashing: Described as embodying a sporting style and adventurous spirit, this model is a “top seller” and features a powerful engine and high-tech functionalities.
- The T-Series: The launch highlighted the exceptional initial demand for the T1 model, which has already amassed an impressive 2,000 orders in just one week. The T-Series, which also includes the T2, is appealing due to its “audacious design, power, and reliability.” The T2 specifically targets adventure enthusiasts with high-end equipment and off-road capabilities.
All vehicles come with a 150,000 km warranty.
Leadership Sets Ambitious Goals
Adam Nisbet, Director and Shareholder of Mobilis Auto, stated that the launch illustrates the company’s ambition to “transform the local market,” while honouring a vision for a “dynamic and connected future.” He promised the brand would set “new standards of excellence” in affordable luxury, performance, and service.
Clayton Lennox, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mobilis Auto Group, declared an “ambitious” vision to make the brand the “number one choice for Mauritians.” He emphasised that Mobilis Auto aims to deliver excellence through vehicles designed to meet consumer expectations by combining world-class engineering, bold design, and modern technology.
Mr. Lennox added that his four months on the island provided an “incredible experience” and allowed him to understand the specific needs of the local market.
Government Focus on Sustainable Mobility
The event was attended by Osman Mahomed, the Minister of Transport, who commented that Mobilis Auto will help “energise the local market” by offering petrol vehicles, but with a “perspective of progressive integration of electric vehicles.”
The Minister also stressed the urgent need to further develop renewable energy production to curb pollution, highlighting that the automotive sector has a key role in the transition toward “more sustainable mobility.”
