Hotel Staff, 26, Dies After Bus Crash in Le Morne

A 26-year-old hotel employee, Laeticia Ramkalawon, has tragically died after sustaining serious injuries in a bus accident on Saturday, October 8, in Le Morne.

Ramkalawon, who was a passenger on a shuttle bus transporting staff for the hotel where she worked, succumbed to her injuries after the vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree.

Casualties and Aftermath

The collision also resulted in injuries to several other passengers. Ramkalawon was rushed to Rose-Belle hospital and placed in intensive care, but she sadly did not survive despite the medical team’s best efforts.

Ongoing Investigation

Latest reports indicate that several of the injured passengers remain under observation in the hospital.

An enquiry has been launched to establish the exact circumstances that led to the crash.
