School Shooting Threat Linked to Grade Demands: Police Investigate Email

Police have launched an urgent investigation after a school in the West of the country received an anonymous email threatening a shooting rampage unless a former student’s grades were immediately raised to ‘A’ level.

Core Threat Details

The threat, received by the school on Sunday evening, explicitly stated the sender intended to “burst into the establishment the next day” and “shoot the teachers” if their demands for a grade review were not met.

The school’s principal filed a complaint with police, confirming the email was sent from an unidentified individual using an unknown email address.

Escalating Danger and Motive

The threatening message heightened concerns by claiming the author had “procured a firearm” and was “ready to take their own life” after killing members of staff.

The email also attempted to justify the extreme intentions by referencing alleged family violence the sender claimed to be suffering.

Police Response

A copy of the email has been handed over to police, who have opened an inquiry.

Multiple police units have been mobilised in an effort to track down the author, who currently remains untraceable. The investigation is ongoing.
