The new Subramania Bharati Eye Hospital in Reduit is set to open its doors on Monday, November 10, with all services from the existing facility being transferred to the new site.

Key Details on the Transfer and Location

The significant move will see all current hospital activities relocated to the new, purpose-built structure, which is situated opposite the Financial Crimes Commission offices in Reduit, Moka.

The new site will handle all consultations, appointments, and surgical interventions.

Improved Patient Access and Capacity

To improve patient accessibility, ophthalmology consultant Dr. Nemraj Kallychurun confirmed that bus routes will now be diverted to stop at the new hospital.

The facility itself is a large, six-level building with substantial inpatient capacity. It can initially accommodate 32 male and 32 female patients for admission, with the potential to increase this capacity if required.
