Dog Owner Freed on Rs 5,000 Bail After Cane Corso Attack
The owner was taken into custody by Souillac police on Thursday, 15 October, following the vicious attack on Tuesday late evening. During questioning, the man confirmed ownership of the dogs and was confronted with the charge of “Allowing dog to stray.” He was then provisionally indicted before the courts.
Victims and Incident Details
The two victims, a 62-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman, were attacked by the aggressive dogs while walking in their neighbourhood.
The incident, which occurred around 7 p.m., saw the couple surprised and then assaulted by several large Cane Corsos.
One of the injured victims later reported the owner to the police, leading to the subsequent arrest.
