New FSC Chief Appointed, Bringing 20 Years’ Experience
Désiré Vencatachellum has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of the Financial Services Commission (FSC). His appointment was announced by Finance Minister Jyoti Jeetun during a press conference on Thursday, July 10.
Minister Jeetun highlighted that Vencatachellum will bring valuable African experience to his new role, which will support the FSC’s strategic plans for the continent.
Prior to his appointment, Vencatachellum led the Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Department at the African Development Bank.
His appointment comes shortly after the FSC restructured its administrative committee. The official formalization of his appointment is expected to be completed in the coming days.
