National Assembly Appoints New Clerk
Speaker Shirin Aumeeruddy Cziffra announced at the start of the parliamentary session on Tuesday, June 17, that Bibi Safeena Lotun has been appointed as the Clerk of the National Assembly. The new appointment starts on Friday, June 20.
Lotun had previously worked for 22 years before retiring in May 2023 for personal reasons. On January 31, she was appointed as a counselor to the Speaker.
