Rs 2 Million Boost for Rodrigues Youth Technical Training
Mahend Gungapersad, Minister of Education, announced that Rs 2 million will be allocated for technical training of young people in Rodrigues.
He made the statement during the opening of the Education Conference on Monday, May 26.
The goal is to rethink the education system to better suit the island’s realities.
Gungapersad emphasized the importance of technical skills, especially in sectors like agriculture and fishing.
Also present at the event were Franceau Grandcourt, the Chief Commissioner, and his deputy Johnson Roussety, who is in charge of education matters.
