NHDC & NSLD Housing Update:10% Deposit No Longer Required
In a significant development for those seeking social housing, the National Housing Development Company (NHDC) Ltd and the National Social Living Development (NSLD) have announced important changes to their application requirements.
As of now, prospective applicants will no longer need to pay a 10% deposit on the purchase price of their new home.
Yannick Damoo, the Customer Service Manager at NHDC and NSLD, shared this information during an interview on RadioPlus on the afternoon of September 10.
This decision is aiming to allow social housing more accessible to a larger number of individuals and families in need.
Damoo explained that applicants will now be directed to a bank that will facilitate financing for the purchase of their home.
This change is expected to ease the financial burden on prospective homeowners and encourage more people to apply for social housing options.
