Michael Veeraragoo, the musician who disappeared from the public eye in November 2022, has made a comeback with a new role as the director of the Swami Vivekananda Centre of Conferences (SVICC) in Pailles.

This move marked a significant change from his previous administrative duties at the Mauritius Society of Authors (MASA).

As a prominent figure in the music industry, Veeraragoo has held several positions of responsibility.

Between 2017 and 2020, he served as the president of MASA for three years, before abruptly resigning without providing a clear reason.

He then returned to MASA in 2021 as an interim director, following the suspension of the then-director, Gérard Louise, in 2011.

However, after two six-month contracts, Veeraragoo left MASA in November 2022, citing his refusal to accept a monthly renewable contract as interim director.

Details of his new role at SVICC have not been disclosed, and Veeraragoo was unavailable for comment at publishing time.
