7 Cascades: French Man Rescued by Helicopter Squad

A delicate operation was carried out by the Special Operation Division of the Mauritius Fire and Rescue Service to rescue a French man who was injured at Sept Cascades on Wednesday, March 20th.

The young man was then evacuated by the police helicopter.

The injured individual was handed over to the medical team at Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital heliport to receive treatment.

He had suffered a rib fracture. In control of the police helicopter were Group Captain Sebastian Kurian, the commanding officer of the Police Helicopter Squadron, accompanied by Deputy Assistant Superintendent of Police Seesaha and two rescuers, Sergeant Nuckchedee and Constable Marion.
