Lower Unemployment Rates in Q2 2023
In the second quarter of 2023, Mauritius witnessed a stable employment rate of 553,200, a slight increase from the previous quarter.
The unemployment rate also showed positive signs, dropping to 6.4%.
The number of individuals considered outside the labor force saw a marginal rise.
Some 41% of the unemployed were male and 59% were female, with 56% being single. Moreover, half lacked formal educational qualifications.
