Sandhya Boygah Takes the Helm of NPCC Amidst Controversy

Published

Former MSM MP Sandhya Boygah has been appointed as the Director of the National Productivity and Competitiveness Council (NPCC).

This comes after the death of Ashit Gungah, the previous director. Boygah previously served as the General Manager of the Mauritius Standards Bureau (MSB), which caused controversy at the time.

Her appointment had led to the resignation of Rashida Nanhuck, the interim director of the MSB.

Boygah’s recent appointment to the NPCC also faced initial resistance from the Board of directors, but it was ultimately approved as it was a decision made by the Council of Ministers.
